open channel simulation

I am trying to build an open channel simulation which is a combination of
– FreeSurface
– normal inlet/outlet configurations, with Poisieulle2D inlet startup distribution
– surface tension at the channel sides in the 3D versionFor starters, using a 2D model, I am trying to combine BreakingDam2D and BStep2D, but so far no luck.
Could anyone pls give me a hint how to resolve this?
ThanksDoing it step by steo is a good idea. Starting from one working example and changing only one thing after another is a good idea! Starting with the boundary conditions and get a flow working a good first step..
